Mission Statement:

The mission of this website is to provide a vehicle which will allow prisoners/inmates the ability and opportunity to be in contact with a large audience of people.  It is believed that these pen-pal relationships will provide encouragement, inspiration and hope to those who are incarcerated.

The letter-writing or pen-pal relationships developed and sustained as a result of this site can result in a number of positive results.  It is hoped those results will include the reduction of recidivism in inmates; the development of positive influences on the life of an inmate; the furtherance of education of inmates; and an improved sense of self-worth.

The positive results of these pen-pal relationships should allow an inmate, when released, to achieve their highest potential and become a productive, caring member of the general society.  In turn, they may be encouraged to share their experiences with others and thereby help some younger person from turning to a life of crime.  This overall result will be a reduction in the prison population and a reduction of the prison tax-burden on the American public.
